Dog Weight Isn’t Only Calories — Environment and Behaviour Matter

A companion-animal study looked at behavioural susceptibility to environmental influences in obesity — using dogs as a model. Calories matter, but household routines and behaviour patterns are part of the story too.

Practical owner moves that are usually safe to start: count treats, keep short activity notes, take consistent body-condition photos, and ask your vet for a body-condition score. Do not start crash diets from a social post.
